Anyone who has ever had to crimp a new rope loop for a winch in the middle of the forest will be familiar with the situation: the hammer feels heavier with every blow, your hands are cramping up, and despite your best efforts, you’re still unsure whether the crimp is really secure and reliable. On top of that, there’s the time pressure – whilst you’re hammering away, the machine is at a standstill, and the job drags on unnecessarily. Done in a flash
This is evident right from the very first aspect that matters in day-to-day working life: time. The XPRS20 can be operated by a single person. No need for a second pair of hands or any adjustments – simply position the tool, start the pressing process, and the pressing time is noticeably shorter than with traditional hammering. This means less downtime and more time for the actual work.
Easy to use
The shorter pressing time is just one aspect of it – how the work feels is the other. There’s no more of that exhausting hammering. The physical strain is noticeably reduced, which is particularly evident when carrying out several pressing operations a day. The press clamp can be positioned with precision, so you can be sure of a clean result – without any effort and without straining your back.
Thoughtfully designed down to the last detail
The base plate supplied secures the XPRS20 firmly to the floor, ensuring that the entire crimping process is stable and controlled – this is another reason why just one person is sufficient to operate it. Pressing jaws are also available for terminal sizes ranging from No. 9 (cable diameter 7 mm) to No. 16 (cable diameter 14 mm), allowing the XPRS20 to be flexibly adapted to a variety of applications.
And because well-designed technology in the forest also needs to be practical, care was taken with the dimensions: With compact dimensions of just 260 × 130 × 100 mm (spindle retracted, without base plate), the device fits easily into the storage compartment of cable skidders, forestry machines and other vehicles – so the Forstreich XPRS20 is always to hand when you need it.
