The basis for the Forstreich KSX chain sharpener is the Milwaukee straight grinder and a specially developed angle stop. This makes it very easy to always achieve the same stop angle, and a height stop for consistent roof and chest angles has also been included.
The sharpening pins are now available for all common chains, from Picco to harvester chains (available diameters: 4.0/4.5/4.8/5.2/5.5 mm).
With the KSX chain sharpener, the saw tooth is milled rather than filed or ground.
This results in a very sharp cutting edge and a polished tooth surface. The removal rate can be easily varied by adjusting the contact pressure on the tooth.
This allows all chains to be sharpened on the guide bar in no time at all.
